I would like to dedicate a large portion of my life to prayer. So, if you have any prayer requests or praises, I would be ever so willing to lift 'em up. I'm excited about this new endeavor and I'm sure it will bring me closer to God, which I could really use.

Anyhoo, today is the day we celebrating Jesus's birth. He was born. He taught, healed, and set our example. He was tortured on a cruel cross until death finally came over Him. Then He conquered death and along with it our sins! I don't know if the birth of Jesus is what I really celebrate on Christmas, but the life of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the life that He STILL LIVES is definitely worth celebrating.

Oh, it is a happy Christmas, isn't it?!

I think I'll get back into this. I miss it a lot. I've been journaling a lot lately and have been keeping my personal life.. well, personal.

But where's the fun in that? I miss you humans, even though most of you have translocated to the insanely popular myspace. I must admit, I have one, too. And I love it. But fear not, oh blogger.com. I will not forsake thee!!

Okay, I'm over it. So, life has been busy lately. My health is being lame (ha, lame, get it?) but I'm down in Missouri getting treatment and should be healthy and kicking in no time! Life has really been fabulous, all in all.

I've discovered a few things as I've been frolicking my way through life. And I'd like to share those with you now...


Smiling is better than everything- absolutely.

A good cup of coffee is the best way to start a happy day.

A nice cup of hot tea is the best way to end a happy, or even not so happy day.

Love is surprising. Don't bother guessing.

Writing is more helpful than crying.

Just sitting there when there are things to be done is not worth it.

Life isn't everything you hoped it would be. It's different, but somehow better.

Humming a happy tune is contagious.

Mashed potatoes are better for the soul than chicken soup.

Animals are wonderful, particularly squirrels and dogs. Pay attention to them.

Your family loves you, so don't ignore them.

Rhyming in everyday conversation is the best.

Dasani water still tastes great.

A healthy heart is more important than a healthy body.

Mm, love Jesus. He never stops loving you.

I almost have my license. I will in October!
My boyfriend went off to college.
Sunday is the SYATP (See You At The Pole) Bash! w00t.
Wednesday is SYATP.
It's four forty four. Cool huh?

Squirrels rock faces. The one in the air (with the sith saber) is my soulmate.
Everyone thinks squirrels are so daft for getting hit by cars. Pssh.

Oh yeah, and life rocks. Mine is pretty super lately. I won't be doing driver's ed until September, which means I'll have my license in October. That's not too bad, though. I'll probably be getting a job soon. I'm not entirely sure how long this babysitting job is going to last, so I'll be applying to a couple of places in town. Then, when I get my license, I'm hoping to work at the coffee shop in Pleasantville. That would be such an uh-may-zeeng job.

Do you know what I love? Oh, there are so many things. I love dancing, singing, acting, white roses, the smell of rain, the sound of thunder, and the warmth of someone's embrace. But then there's God.

I was listening to one of the songs during our worship service in church today, and I couldn't keep from thinking about the words in it.
You alone are my heart's desire, and I long to worship You.
I don't know if I've made that adjustment yet. I'm not sure if God is my heart's one and only desire. I'm not even sure if I understand what that means. I, of course, desire to be closer to God, to know Him more, and even to become more like Him. I'm just not quite sure if that's the only desire my heart has. I felt kind of guilty after singing the song, once I'd thought about what I'd just sang. It seemed like I was lifting something up to God that I didn't fully grasp yet.

Simply so you can better comprehend what I'm saying, I'll list for you some of my heart's other desires.

-to change the world, just a little
-to get married and have children, a happy family
-to express love to everyone I see
-to leave a legacy

Now, I'm not sure if these things can possibly contradict what it is God wants for my life. In fact, now that I've written them out, they may possibly be things God has put on my heart. I think that's something I'll have to sort out as time goes by. I suppose desires can either assist you in becoming closer to God, or distract you from His will. It sure is hard to keep your eyes focused sometimes though.

Things in life are good. I'm quite happy most of the time. I'll be extremely busy with school for the next week, but that I can deal with. Prom was awesome.<3>

It turns out I'm horrible at making a paragraph that stays on one particular subject. I'm so scatter-brained. Maybe someday I'll correct that, too. For now, I'm just taking it one fault at a time. :)
