Have you heard?
^^^
That phrase must be my least favorite of all phrases. Sometimes the gossip nearly drives me mad. Why must everyone know everyone else's business? Now, don't get me wrong. There is a big difference between showing concern and sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. I only wish that the common people could choose the first over the latter. What's interesting is that I'm not neccessarily speaking only of rumors about me. It's everywhere! It's a conspiracy, I tell you. You'd think that people would eventually mature out of such foolishness as gossip, but no. I mean, I remember being seven and going to my friends and saying, "Did you hear that ____ loves ____?" But there's a huge difference between a seven year old gossiping and a fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, or even forty year old gossiping. It's appalling at best. I'm definitely not pompous enough to say that I've never bit into the temptation of believing an exciting rumor, or even spreading one, but I'm really trying to find my way out of such things. It is rather hard sometiems, figuring out how to show concern without being nosy. I understand and feel compassion for those rumor-weeds out there, but good grief... There's a line that can be drawn, is there not? I suppose the moral of the story is: Guard your ears and watch your tongue, please.
Now that I've finished with my little passionate outburst, I'll fill you in on what's new in my life. I've been nearly keeping up with school. I really enjoy a few of my classes, but I'm struggling with Chemistry a bit. I'm happy to say that I'm actually remembering French! I was a little worried at first, when starting French 2 after such a long break, but it's coming back to me. :)
Healthwise, I'm making steady improvements, and no new illnesses seem to be coming! w00t w00t! I passed a physical yesterday, with limitations, so I'm still in cheerleading. Speaking of which, our first game is tonight, which means a pep rally this afternoon. I don't mind pep rallies too awful much. Or at least I wouldn't if I didn't have to use those blasted pom poms. They're like dust bunnies gone Broadway. *thumbs down*
Let's see, what else is new? We redid the dining room, and now it's a school room. It's rather comfortable, really. It has three retro blue chairs and a couch. I like it this way. It's a lot more... usable, I suppose.
Things are still going well with Josh. We started a bible study with a couple of friends. (*shout-out to Dom and Ruth inserted here*) I like that. :D
Other than that, I'm through.
God bless you.
Ciao.
