Another worthless coin tossed into the well.
I watched once again as my shooting star fell.
The truth is I'm really not doing so well.
The nightmares, they haunt me like I'm under a spell.

The darkness fades as I open my eyes.
I look toward the heavens and feel warmth from the light.
Standing above my sorrows, I let joy touch my soul.
I feel so complete: there's no longer this hole.
I'm finding that forgiveness is the antidote to sin.
And in order to win, you first must begin.
I've learned that regret is a pointless endeavor.
I can't let this guilt hold me back forever.
So today I hand it over, and I give you the key.
My pain is washed away to the bottom of the sea.
Freedom is granted as you cut me from this rope.
My future is clear, and all I see is hope.
